The 5 guest rooms of the château all encourage relaxation and embody a refined art of living that can also be extended by tasting a wine from the estate by the pool: from here, you can enjoy the splendid view of the vines and the Dordogne below.

Nathalie, the château's housekeeper, will delight your taste buds with her famous breakfasts: buffet style, sweet or savoury, there is something for everyone. Treat yourself to pastries, cereals, special breads, dairy products, seasonal fruit... Those who prefer it can try fresh eggs, cold meats, cheeses but also Nathalie's suggestions, who cooks according to the market products; pancakes, French toast, cakes...

We offer our guests a visit to the cellars and a tasting of our wines. Don't forget to make an appointment when you book your room, there are many requests!

The MARQUIS Room

Facing the Dordogne River, this spacious 47m² room, located in one of the two square towers in the central part of the château, is sure to fulfill your dream of château living.

The room features a king-size bed (200 x 200), a bathroom equipped with both a bathtub and a shower, as well as a dressing room. The king-size bed can also be converted into two single beds.

For your comfort, a private lift provides direct access to the second floor of the château, right to your bedroom door. A safe, mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine, and television are also at your disposal. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included.

The VIOLLET-LE-DUC Room

Eugène Viollet-le-Duc was a renowned architect, particularly famous for his role in the restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris during the 19th century. He also left his mark on other iconic monuments such as Mont Saint-Michel and the fortified city of Carcassonne. His student, Edmond Duthoit, supervised the major renovation works of Château de La Rivière at the end of the 19th century.

The Viollet-le-Duc Room is located in the Renaissance wing of the château and covers 29m². It features either a king-size bed (200 x 200) or two single beds (100 x 200). The room also offers a beautiful bathroom equipped with both a bathtub and a shower.

The Suite CHARLEMAGNE

In 769, Charlemagne, during his conquest of Aquitaine, established a fortified camp in the woods of La Rivière, just 300 metres from the château. Today, a feudal mound dating from that period can still be seen nearby.

The Charlemagne Suite consists of two connecting rooms located on the first floor of the Renaissance wing, making it ideal for families. The first bedroom measures 17m² and features a 200 x 200 bed. The second bedroom, measuring 26m², can be arranged with either a king-size bed (200 x 200) or two single beds (100 x 200). Both rooms have their own private bathroom and separate toilets.

The ALIENOR Room

A patron of the arts, inspiration to poets, and a true political figure, Aliénor of Aquitaine remains one of the most remarkable women of the 12th century. Crowned queen twice — first of France, then of England — she reshaped the customs and traditions of her time while playing a major role in public affairs.

The Aliénor Room, with a surface area of 19m², is located on the second floor of the Renaissance wing. It features a 160 x 200 bed and a private bathroom with adjoining toilet facilities.

The Suite CHARLEMAGNE

Marie Charlotte, Countess of Bouflers and owner of the château during the 18th century, left her mark on the estate through her elegance and refined art of living. She is notably credited with the creation of the famous Bain des Dames, hidden within the château’s underground quarries.

Located on the third floor of the château, the Marie Charlotte Room offers a refined 29m² space, perfect for a stay combining historic charm with modern comfort. The room features a king-size bed (180 x 200), a sofa bed, and a private bathroom.
